Occupational Therapy

A Window into OT and Mental Health

Occupational Therapy is a dynamic profession centered on holistic and evidence-based practice. Few people know that OTs can work in mental health, yet it is within this domain from which OT originated. As occupational therapists, we take the entire being of our client into consideration. We want our clients to experience the best quality of life possible which requires the consideration of any unique characteristics that make up an individual.

Amanda is passionate about helping people improve their self-concept and in helping find the life-giving truths for each individual. Her passion includes educating people about learning differences and generational poverty – subjects of which she speaks from personal experiences and research. She graduated from Rocky Mountain College’s Doctor of Occupational Therapy Program in November of 2022 and has since ventured into the business world. Amanda joined the CrossWay family February 2024, with her GROWTH program.

Amanda also holds Bachelors of Arts degrees in Music and in German from Oregon State University. She enjoys spending time with her dog, Georgia, laughing with good friends, being in water, playing music, and growing her faith.

Testimonial

Amanda is fantastic. She helped me with my TBI symptoms, reteaching me how to organize my time and slow down my thoughts. She was always very helpful, making sure the plans she made for me were truly best for me. She is professional and caring, and I can’t recommend her enough!
